The Alaska Optometric Association (AKOA) would like to invite you to attend the 2010 AKOA Annual Education Conference in Juneau, AK. Juneau is a thriving city offering a great blend of city amenities and small-town hospitality, all in the heart of Alaska's majestic mountains, rivers, glaciers, and forests.

EDUCATION
The 2010 Conference will offer 20+ hours of continuing education with top-notch optometry and ophthalmology faculty. Even if you attend only a day or two you still can obtain a substantial number of credits.

WEATHER & DAYLIGHT
The weather in Alaska is unpredictable and the average temperature for Juneau during this time is 30-40 degrees. At the end of March, the sun rises at about 6 am and goes down about 7:30 pm.

TRAVEL
Travel by air is recommended. Daily jet service offers the quickest, easiest access to Juneau. Alaska Airlines is the only jet service provider to Juneau and offers daily connections north from Seattle and south from Anchorage.

Technically, you can't drive to Juneau - but you can put your car on a ferry. The Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) is our floating roadway that serves as Southeast Alaska's main marine transportation system.
